Terms of Hire

GENERAL HIRE

All rental items remain the property of Country Crockery Hire Limited; Hillside, Quarry Hill, SN13 8LP.

All charges cover a 1-3 day rental period. This includes 1 day prior to your event and 1 day post your event. If your event falls over the weekend period, collection will be scheduled for Monday unless negotiated otherwise with Country Crockery Hire. Any additional hire period will incur additional charges and should be arranged prior to delivery/collection.

A cleaning fee of 20% will be charged additionally to all rental items, however an additional cleaning fee of 10% may be incurred (post-event) for any excess food waste left on crockery or cutlery, so please make sure food waste is scraped off all items before they are stacked back in their crates.

While we have worked hard to offer an accurate representation of our products on our website, our items are all unique and as such may differ slightly from the images shown. As such we cannot provide any guarantee of accuracy.

DELIVERY

We offer free delivery to post codes within 10 miles of Bath. 

We also deliver within the South West region to include; Bath, Bristol, Cotswolds, Gloucestershire, Somerset, Wiltshire. Delivery fees are charged subject to location and will be added to your quote at time of request based on mileage.

*Please note depending on availability and current bookings we may be able to deliver further afield within the UK. Please call us to discuss your booking should you be based outside of our delivery areas.

Standard delivery is between 8am – 10pm (Mon – Fri) the day prior to hire. All other delivery times (including weekend slots) must be negotiated prior to rental as additional costs may apply.

We ask that the customer be present when the rental items are delivered, as they will need to be signed for. In the event that a customer is unable to sign for the items and instead requests that they are left at the delivery address, they are done so at the Customer’s own risk and they will be liable for any missing items.

Country Crockery Hire requires a parking space or access to be confirmed for all deliveries. Any costs incurred for parking fines etc. will be invoiced as an additional item to the Customer post their event.

The Customer will be charged for waiting time if Country Crockery Hire has to spend more than 30 minutes on site searching for rental items at time of collection.

PAYMENT

We accept payment via BACS transfer. All payments must be received in full before delivery will be made.

To confirm an order 50% of the total will be charged upon booking, the remaining 50% will be due 28 days prior to delivery. 

A damage deposit of 20% of the total order will additionally be taken upon booking and returned in full once items are returned to the warehouse and checked by our team for any missing items or breakages.

A minimum order of £200 applies to all bookings (exclusive of damage deposit).

Invoices are all net 14 days, however payment must be made in full 14 days prior to delivery date. Any invoices left outstanding after this time will be referred to a Collection Agency and may be subject to a surcharge and legal fees in order to recover such costs.

CANCELLATIONS

You are welcome to modify or cancel your order, however please do this in writing (info@countrycrockeryhire.com) at least 28 days prior to your event date. After this time cancellation fees may be incurred as per the below.

All cancellations must be made and confirmed by us in writing prior to your event.

Cancellation charges are as follows;

  • Up to 28 days or more prior to event date: full refund
  • Up to 14 day prior to event date: 50% refund available
  • Up to 7 days prior to event date: 25% refund available

*We are aware that due to the current Government restrictions changes may occur more frequently. We are working hard to be as flexible as possible and adapt to your change of date and/or numbers, subject to our availability. REPLACEMENTS

If any items are missing or damaged, they will need to be replaced. Replacement charges can be found on all invoices. All items will be checked back in our warehouse upon return rather than at time of collection, so please do check your items before collection as our team will not be held responsible for any items left behind.

In the event of loss or damage of any rental item, the Customer will be charged for the full replacement of these items and payment will be due according to invoice date. Replacement charges can be found on all quotes.

The Customer is required to return any boxes and/or packaging that came with the rental items at time of delivery, any missing items will result in additional charges for replacement of such items.

The Customer acknowledges that items will not be counted until they are back in the warehouse. As such time any missing items will be charged in full unless missing items can be returned immediately.

LIABILITY

Country Crockery Hire accepts no liability for any loss or injury during the hire period of any rental items.
